Pictures

Since Boston and Cambree are now five and three, I thought it would be a good time to take some pictures of them dressed in clothes that look somewhat new.  I got this great idea one morning and we headed out at 8:30 to the local park.  It went okay. I got a few smiles but next time, I'm going to take someone with me.  For now, this is what we got.

And these pictures are when I pulled Brinley out of the car.  She screamed the entire five minutes that I tried to take a group picture.
Boston's look said it all, "For real, mom??"
Will this work as the Devlin Christmas card this year?

Cousins

Cousins Aidan and Ellie came into town from Arizona.  We went to the dinosaur park with Grandma Mary and had a great dinner at McDonalds afterward.

While they were here we also celebrated Ellie's third birthday at the park.  We had a great time and miss them being close.

Life

Boston is a great big brother and helper for me with Brinley.
Doing some Halloween activities after preschool

 Practicing writing his numbers
Boston climbing the tree in the front yard
and getting dressed like dad and telling me he is headed off to Scouts.  Love that boy.

Brinley still screams a lot.  We went in for her 2 month appointment yesterday the Dr. said she is likely at her peak of colic.  I know this is a season and it too shall pass.  We're hoping it will get better soon so we don't feel like crazy people.  Poor thing.

 Brother and sister love

 Brinley looks nervous
A few smiles at bathtime and at the park.  Yea!!

Brinley 5 1/2 Weeks

Brinley likes to talk to angels.  I often find her staring upwards and then a big smile comes across her face.  I like to think she is conversing with grandmas and others who are comforting her from above.

Brinley's Blessing

Brinley's blessing was scheduled the day after Cambree's party on the 29th.  Wow, we are crazy people thinking that a 3 year old party will not destroy our house.  I really didn't have anything in me to keep pushing but thankfully my husband and grandmas were there for the rescue.  What a weekend!
The face of this mother.  As I look at these pictures I see a tired mommy, but a really happy mommy.  I don't know what it is about Brinley but she has helped me enjoy motherhood more.  Life has changed and I am feeling my gratitude for these little special spirits and my responsibility to them.  I laugh as we cannot get good smiles out of them at the same time ever but this is truly how it is.  These pictures are real life.

As we are rushing for pictures of us before our Sunday clothes and hair are destroyed, we corrected a particular child on his behavior and this is what resulted.  Tears and screaming so in daddy's pictures there are just two children.

I love this guy.  I'm so blessed to go through this journey with him.  He is a really good daddy.

Brinley was not loving all the commotion of the last two days and she decided she was done by the end.
