Halloween

Brinley loved Halloween.  She was giving me all sorts of smiles.

I wore my easy black cat costume and the boys dressed up like police men.  We also had a cute princess with us.  We left a big bowl of candy on the porch when we left, and it was empty when we got home from trick-or-treating.
The kids went to the doors by themselves this year.  Very brave

Checking out their first treat.

Before the preschool party

Our creative pumpkins
Doing homework
Cambree putting together four puzzles by herself while Boston was at preschool.
Making Halloween cookies with Grandma and licking the beater
The singing portion of the preschool program.  He's enthused.
and a tired baby.

Funny Things They Say

Boston notices an earth on TV and says, "Look mom.  There's the earth."  Cambree then replies, "Yeah, the earth of Jesus Christ."

I ask Cambree if the people in her dollhouse are moving because she cleared everything out.  She says, "Yes, they're going to live with Satan the Lamanite."  (aka Samuel)

I say, "It's getting dark" while we are trick-or-treating.  Boston replies, "It's okay.  I can see.  I ate a bite of carrots at preschool today."

I also heard Boston give Cambree a blessing of comfort and administer the Sacrament when I was in the other room the other day.  Interesting

Pictures

Since Boston and Cambree are now five and three, I thought it would be a good time to take some pictures of them dressed in clothes that look somewhat new.  I got this great idea one morning and we headed out at 8:30 to the local park.  It went okay. I got a few smiles but next time, I'm going to take someone with me.  For now, this is what we got.

And these pictures are when I pulled Brinley out of the car.  She screamed the entire five minutes that I tried to take a group picture.
Boston's look said it all, "For real, mom??"
Will this work as the Devlin Christmas card this year?

Cousins

Cousins Aidan and Ellie came into town from Arizona.  We went to the dinosaur park with Grandma Mary and had a great dinner at McDonalds afterward.

While they were here we also celebrated Ellie's third birthday at the park.  We had a great time and miss them being close.

Life

Boston is a great big brother and helper for me with Brinley.
Doing some Halloween activities after preschool

 Practicing writing his numbers
Boston climbing the tree in the front yard
and getting dressed like dad and telling me he is headed off to Scouts.  Love that boy.

Brinley still screams a lot.  We went in for her 2 month appointment yesterday the Dr. said she is likely at her peak of colic.  I know this is a season and it too shall pass.  We're hoping it will get better soon so we don't feel like crazy people.  Poor thing.

 Brother and sister love

 Brinley looks nervous
A few smiles at bathtime and at the park.  Yea!!
